Lab-Grown Diamond Rings: A Buying Guide
A ring is the piece you look at most, every single day. Our lab-grown diamond rings are made to be worn that way: certified diamonds, set in 9KT, 14KT or 18KT gold, in yellow, rose or white. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, with the same carbon crystal, hardness and fire as mined stones, graded on the same 4Cs.
Types of diamond rings
- Solitaire rings: a single diamond, held high so it catches the light from every side. The classic engagement ring.
- Halo rings: a centre stone framed by a ring of smaller diamonds, which makes it look larger and brighter.
- Diamond bands: slim bands set with a row of diamonds, lovely alone or stacked beside an engagement ring.
- Everyday rings: low, comfortable settings designed for work, travel and daily wear.
- Men's rings: bolder bands and solitaires with a cleaner, heavier profile.
How to choose a diamond ring
Shape. Round brilliants give the most sparkle. Oval, pear and marquise shapes look longer on the finger. Emerald and radiant cuts feel architectural and modern.
Carat and size. Carat is weight, not width. The cut and shape decide how large a stone looks from above, so an oval can look bigger than a round diamond of the same weight.
Colour and clarity. Colour runs from D (colourless) downwards, and clarity measures tiny inner marks. Every product page lists the exact grades of its diamonds, so you always know what you are buying.
Gold purity. 18KT has the richest colour, 14KT balances colour with strength, and 9KT is the most durable and the most accessible.
