Oreya Lifetime Exchange & Buyback Policy

Recently received your order? If you are looking to return or exchange a brand-new item within 7 days of delivery, please refer to our standard 7-Day Returns & Exchange Policy. The lifetime policy detailed below applies exclusively to pieces you wish to upgrade or sell back after this initial 7-day window has closed.

At Oreya, we believe your fine jewelry is an investment. Whether you want to upgrade to a new design or simply sell your piece back to us, our Lifetime Guarantee ensures a transparent and seamless process based on current market values.

1. Lifetime Exchange (Upgrade to a New Piece)

If you wish to exchange your current Oreya jewellery for a new design, the final valuation will be credited to your Oreya account as store credit. This credit cannot be encashed.

  • Gold Value: 100% of the prevailing market value of the gold (9kt/14kt/18kt).

  • Lab-Grown Diamond Value: 80% of the prevailing market value of the diamonds.

  • Coins: 100% of the prevailing market value of the gold/silver.

  • How it works: You can use this credit toward any new Oreya purchase. If your new selection costs more, you simply pay the difference.

2. Lifetime Buyback (Return for Cash)

If you prefer to sell your piece back to us, the final valuation will be paid directly to your bank account within 15 business days after our quality inspection is complete.

  • Gold Value: 95% of the prevailing market value of the gold (a 5% deduction covers standard melting and refining costs).

  • Lab-Grown Diamond Value: 70% of the prevailing market value of the diamonds.

  • Coins: 100% of the prevailing market value of the gold/silver.

3. Valuation & Deductions

To ensure fairness and transparency, the following terms apply to all exchanges and buybacks:

  • Current Market Value: All metal and diamond values are calculated strictly based on the prevailing market rates on the exact date you initiate the exchange or buyback request.

  • Standard Deductions: Making charges, applicable taxes (GST), and a flat processing fee of ₹1,000 are completely excluded from the final buyback/exchange value.

  • Discounts & Rewards: If you used a promo code, store credit, or reward points during your original purchase, or received a free gift, an equivalent amount will be deducted from your final valuation.

  • Active EMIs: If the product was purchased via an EMI system and payments are still pending, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final payout.

4. Eligibility & Quality Check

  • Proof of Purchase: The original invoice and the physical diamond grading certificate (IGI/SGL) must be included. Note: If the certificate is lost, a recertification fee of ₹1,500 or ₹800 per carat (whichever is higher) will be deducted.

  • Authenticity: This policy applies exclusively to jewelry purchased directly through the official Oreya website (www.oreya.co), an Oreya store or through our official seller accounts online.

  • The Inspection Process: Once received, our artisans will conduct a thorough Quality Check (QC), which takes up to 15 business days. Any missing stones, severe damage, or alterations made by a third-party jeweler may result in a reduced valuation or rejection of the request.

  • Declining the Offer: If you decide not to proceed after receiving our official valuation, we will safely return the product to you (a standard shipping/processing fee will apply).
